If you are still answering yes, rest assured that the time and money you will be repaid a hundred times by the companionship and love he will give you.
It does not matter how large or small your house is because cats fit anywhere and so any type of home will do. Most pet owners live in cities and are apartment dwellers, and the absence of a yard is not a problem. All cats can adapt to life indoors. Even if they object at first, simply ignore their pleas to go outside and they will eventually quiet down. If you live in an area where your cat is safe outdoors, then any yard is big enough for his needs.
There are many adult cats that, for various reasons, need find loving homes. It is not always easy adopting an adult, but the affection you reap will be well worth your patience. Kittens, on the other hand, are easier to adopt as they adapt more readily.
If you have other cats in your home, they may adjust more easily to a kitten, whereas if you have no other cats, you may want to adopt a fully grown cat. An adult is not as boisterous as a kitten, and so may be more suitable for an older person.
