Corrugated Litter Boxes

Two things came to mind when I learned of these corrugated cat litter boxes. 'Why didn't I think of that?' and 'Where do I get one?' It makes perfect sense, it is a litter box constructed of corrugated cardboard. This corrugated cardboard box with its alternated furrows and ridges encased inside two outside panels are just as strong as plastic litter boxes. When the litter is spent, you simply fold up the whole box, litter and all, and throw it away. You take out a new corrugated litter box, fill it with new litter, and go on with your day. It doesn't get any easier.

Our most dreaded household chore is emptying the cat litter box. I secretly did a little happy dance when I became pregnant and my doctor told me that feline fecal matter could harm the baby and someone else had to empty the dreaded box. Any cat owner knows the drill. Scooping, swapping litter, more scooping, deodorizing, then potentially throwing away the plastic litter box anyway because you can't get the sour smell out. How nice it would be to just toss the whole thing away every couple weeks and start fresh. No mess, no awkward dumping into a trash bag, it simply folds down into itself and gets tossed away. Not only is it amazingly easy and convenient, but there are other benefits, too.

If cat feces is not safe for a pregnant woman, then it is definitely not something you want building up any more germs than absolutely necessary. By disposing of the corrugated litter box every couple of weeks, you are cutting down drastically on the amount of germs being stockpiled in the old plastic litter box. This helps to keep you home clean, sanitary, and odor-free, which in turn also leads to a healthier household.

With the corrugated litter box you do not have to sacrifice your current box style, either. There are several different kinds to choose from, including ones with a paper curtain covering the cat's entry to the box. If your cat prefers openness, they are also available in a pan style, as well.

The corrugated litter box also offers environmental benefits. The corrugated cardboard is made of material which is both biodegradable and recyclable. Though you obviously will use more of them than a plastic box, the plastic box could take upwards of twenty years to biodegrade. Using biodegradable litter inside the corrugated litter box adds even further to these environmental advantages.

The corrugated litter box could potentially revolutionize its industry. The functionality and sanitary benefits are not to be surpassed. Cat owners everywhere are going to breathe a sigh of relief and swap out their fancy plastic boxes for a corrugated set.
